A MODERN ATELIER, ROOTED IN FAMILY CRAFT

Mio Atelier is inspired by a family legacy that began in post-war Belgium, when jewellery was not about trends, but about meaning, longevity, and everyday wear.
In the years following the Second World War, my grandparents Louis Goor and Anne Goor opened a small horlogerie-bijouterie in the region of Verviers. Like many independent jewellers of that time, their shop was a place of trust. Watches were repaired, jewellery was chosen for milestones, and pieces were made to be worn daily and kept for life.
Over the years, the business evolved and moved, eventually settling in the Ardennes. The atelier continued under my mother, Monique Goor, with a strong focus on craftsmanship, personal service, and jewellery that felt both practical and special. Growing up around the shop meant learning that jewellery is not just decorative. It becomes part of daily life, layered into memories, routines, and identity.
That philosophy stayed with me.
Mio Atelier is not a continuation of the original business, but a reinterpretation of its values for today. It brings together thoughtful design, quality materials, and the idea that jewellery should adapt to the wearer, not the other way round.
Each piece is designed to layer, to evolve, and to be made personal over time. Just as jewellery once marked moments in my family’s shop, Mio Atelier is about creating pieces that quietly accompany everyday life.
This is jewellery designed to be worn, lived in, and made your own.
